All most all these people profess Christianity. Mr. Anthony Cruz provided them place for their weekly prayers. They have very special devotion to Our Lady and they would gather in full strength on every Sunday evening for Rosary prayer. Later they built a small Grotto in honour of our Lady at the back yard of Anthony Cruz house.

Mr. Anthony Cruz was invited to participate in an Inter-Religious dialogue at Hyderabad in 2012. The Inter-Religious dialogue was organised by Moviemento San Francesco Savario (MSFS), Italy. There in an informal discussion with few friends, MSFS gave an idea to Fr. Leonard Fernando SJ and Cruz to start a Society. After their return from Hyderabad, Mr. Anthony Cruz discussed with his friends of registering a Society. A group of like minded people came together. Maitreya Xavier Charitable Society was registered in February, 2014 under the Registration of Society Act 1680. Its members are from Delhi, Haryana, Telengana, Jharkhand, Kerala, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. Fr. Leonard Fernando played a pivotal role in preparing the Aims and objectives of the Society. He is now the Spiritual Director of the Society.
