Brief History of MSFS (Moviemento San Francesco Savario, Italy)

MSFS Italy is present in India since 1990. The Vision of MSFS is “To Live and To Share the Indian context as Pilgrims of Peace and Love.”

The Commitment of MSFS is to work with the Marginalized Children; the Education of Women- and the Interfaith- Dialogue.

So, the vision of a joint project with SCNs started in 1996 with the planning and the organization of a house for street girls and a programme of rehabilitation. That dream became a reality on Feb. 1998 with the inauguration of Asha Niwas in Gurgaon.

From the very beginning, MSFS has been deeply involved in initiatives of interreligious dialogue (seminars, courses, programmes, publications, etc.) with students, professors, and other official academic institutions.

After formation of MXCS Anthony Cruz was elected President of the society unanimously. The first proposal of budget of MXCS to support education for Nathupur Village children in 2014 we continue receiving support until 2022. Due to personal reason Anthony Cruz resigned from the post.
